Thank
you for your interest in the Dunnellon/Marion County Airport and
Park of Commerce. The 1,706 acre airport features two active,
lighted runways and significant industrial opportunities. The zoning
at the airport is M-1 and M-2. In addition, the airport is
designated as a special commerce district. The airport is not
controlled. Improvements nearing completion include new roadways and
a central water system. Future plans for recreation development
include a regulation golf course, a 3-dimensional archery range in a
wooded setting, walking trails and a golf driving range. A disk golf
course is now open to the public. The Cross Florida Greenways is
located to the south of the airport, providing potential access to
trail head facilities being planned for construction.
Industrial and aviation sites are available for lease on a long
term basis. Minimum monthly lease rates are $800 per acre per year
(subject to change without notice). Marion County will discuss the
possibility of offsetting rent by the amortized value of
improvements constructed on a leasehold or infrastructure
improvements to the airport.
