Animal Services Wish List

 Heaping.
Huge. Enormous. These words describe the daily laundry pile at Animal
Services. But it's not just any pile of laundry. It's the hundreds of
blankets that keep the dogs comfortable and warm each day. With more than
100 dogs in the kennels, and because blankets are changed as they are
soiled, Mount Laundrymore grows all day, every day.If you look closely at the picture, you can see the washer and dryer that run every minute to clean the dogs' blankets. The appliances work hard, but are no match for the laundry mountain. The dogs and staff of Animal Services are hoping someone will donate a new commercial-sized, 50-80 lb. capacity (not household-sized) washer or dryer, or both! That way, the dogs will be sure to have enough clean blankets to keep them warm and comfy. They also want to remind you that all donations are tax-deductible. A special "woof" and thank you to the generous citizens who donate blankets and towels for the dogs all year round! |
