The
purpose of the County Attorney's Office is to provide legal services and support
to the Board of County Commissioners and at their direction to all County
Departments. To this end, the office prepares and reviews all legal documents,
responds to the need for litigation by or against the County and provides formal
and informal legal options to the Board and County staff. Support services
include attendance at meetings and conferences, preparation of administrative
documents, performance of general administrative duties and legal research.
The goals and initiatives of the County Attorney's Office are directly
related to the requests and directives of the Board of County Commissioners and
the County staff. It is our goal to provide 100% response in a timely and
professional manner. It is mandatory that legal representation be maintained at
the highest professional level.
