DISASTER ASSISTANCE

This program is designed to provide emergency disaster assistance to very low, low, and moderate income homeowners to address emergency housing needs. The maximum grant is $3,000.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

«     Condition must be due to a declared disaster or state of emergency

«     Home must be owner-occupied

«     Household must be certified as very-low, low, or moderate income and not have financial resources available for the repairs

«     Mobile homes are not eligible

 

ELIGIBLE EXPENSES

«     Tree and debris removal to make the housing unit habitable

«     Interim repairs to avoid further damage to home

«     Supplies to weatherproof damaged home

«     Building permits

«     Post disaster repairs not covered by insurance

«    Expenses  to prevent or alleviate flooding of  home such as sand bags, sand, pump rental, fans, etc.

«     Temporary relocation expenses not to exceed 30 days
