MARION COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
NOTICE OF ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
FOR VACANCIES ON VOLUNTEER ADVISORY BOARDS |
The Marion County Board of County Commissioners currently has
vacancies on the following volunteer boards:

1. GOLDEN HILLS TURF & COUNTRY CLUB
MSTU FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
Three (3) year term - Three (3) vacancies
Responsibilities: make recommendations to the Board of County
Commissioners re: budget
for the MSTU; activities, goals and objectives; and other issues the
Board of County
Commissioners may request.
2. MARION COUNTY LICENSE REVIEW
BOARD/CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS & APPEALS
Five (5) openings - Three (3) full member vacancies and two (2)
Alternate member vacancies Responsibilities: to make recommendations
to the Board regarding zoning and rezoning applications and special
use permits.
3. LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION COMMISSION
Four (4) year terms -One (1) Alternate vacancy
Responsibilities: to consider proposed changes to the Land
Development Code and make
recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners
4. WELL FLORIDA COUNCIL
Two (2) year term -Two (2) full member Providers vacancies
Members must be PROVIDERS, or PURCHASERS of health care services.
PROVIDERS - physicians, dentists, nurses, health facility
administrators & members of governing bodies of health facilities;
PURCHASERS - persons responsible for or who are authorized members
of an organization responsible for purchase of health services for a
group of 25 or more individuals, either directly or through
acquisition of health insurance. Meetings are held once a month in
Gainesville (specific information may be provided by the
Well-Florida Council)

Applications for said vacancies may be obtained at the Marion County
Commissioners Office, 6010 SE 25th Avenue. Ocala, Florida, or by calling
(352) 438-2345. Applications are also available online. (Print

All existing and newly appointed advisory board members
are required to attend at least one (1) advisory board seminar after
official appointment by the Board of County Commissioners.
The deadline for receiving applications is August 20, 2010
at 5:00 p.m. The Board of County Commissioners
plans to appoint members on Tuesday, September 21, 2010
or as soon thereafter as practical. |
