Marion County lobbying efforts
Marion County lobbies
state and federal government officials on issues vital
to county businesses, residents and government through
policy maker and lobbyist visits. County representatives
meet with these government leaders to help bring state
and federal dollars back to the county for projects such
as highways, water and rail and to share how state and
federal decisions may affect Marion County. The county
particularly focuses its efforts in areas that could
spur economic development opportunities.
