By volunteering your time and expertise, you help keep your community safe. Marion County Sheriffs Office CERT Team:The Citizens Emergency Response Team is trained in all manor of basic disaster relief. Training in basic fire suppression, first aid, advanced first aid with little supplies, structure searching, and what to do when faced with an emergency. The program graduates 4 classes each year. Florida DART:The state of Florida offers disaster relief training and membership in its regional Disaster Animal Response Team. These teams raise awareness and preparedness about planning for animals during disasters. In the wake of a disaster DART teams are deployed to provide emergency assistance.
