Marion County Transportation Department
Permitting Division
The
Permitting Division is made up of two Sections, Development Review and
Right-of-Way Permitting.
Development Review Section
The Development Review Section receives, routes, and monitors all
development project submittals. The main function of the
Development Review Section is to
coordinate the review of all drainage/site plans, subdivision
preliminary plats, improvement plans, final plats, master plans, and
waiver requests to ensure compliance with the
Marion County Land
Development Code.
During the review process, the Development Review Section serves as a central hub for
compilation of all review comments. Completed project reviews are
scheduled
once a week as agenda items for the Development Review Committee (DRC).
The DRC consists of five voting members including the County
Engineer, Planning Director,
Utilities Director, Zoning Director, and DEPUTY County
Administrator. The DRC will make a motion for approval or disapproval
of agenda items. Disapproval of any agenda item by the DRC may be
appealed to the Board of County Commissioners, whose decision shall be
final. Following DRC approval, a Final Plat will be scheduled for the
next
Board of County Commissioner Agenda.
