S.E./S.W. 31st Street
Phase II Roadway Project
S.E/S.W 31st Street Phase II begins east of CR 475A (S.W.
27th Avenue) and ends at US 441.
The section of this project from CR 475A to
S.W. 7th Avenue will widen the existing two lanes to a four lane
divided section with median, curb, and gutter. The travel lanes
will be 12 feet wide with a four feet wide bike lane in each direction.
There will also be a five feet wide sidewalk on both sides of the
roadway. Stormwater will be routed to a stormwater ponding
system. This roadway will start by connecting to the existing
widened section beside Trinity Catholic High School.
The section of this project from S.W. 7th Avenue to US 441 will be
a new four lane divided section with median, curb, and gutter. It
will also have 12 feet travel lanes with four feet wide bike lanes and a
five feet
wide sidewalk on each side. This section will tie into and match
the pavement at the intersection of US 441 where a prior S.E. 31st
Street Project ended.

This project is being funded jointly by Marion County, the City
of Ocala, and the Florida Department of Transportation.
The Engineer of Record is Juan Guerra of Guerra Development
Corporation.
The total contract amount is $11,395,267.60 and the construction
contractor is Anderson Columbia Co., Inc.
