Who is Facilities Management?
Facilities Management consists of Clerical, Accounting,
Project Management, Masters of the Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and
Carpentry Trades, Facility Technicians, EMS Control Operators, Courier,
and Custodial Staff.

What does Facilities Management do?
Facilities Management is responsible for building maintenance
and repairs, minor renovations, custodial services, project management,
and energy management. We also employ consistent preventive maintenance
techniques to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems and the
most conservative use of energy possible, and we ensure that all
County-owned buildings are ADA compliant and meet all safety standards.
Where does Facilities Management work?
Facilities Management is responsible for the maintenance of over 200
County-owned buildings and structures. These consist of office
buildings, fire stations, The Clerk of the Courts offices, Judicial
Center, State Attorney's Office, Public Defender's Office, county
libraries, county park structures, voting booths, correctional
facilities and Sheriff's operations and sub-stations. Our main office
and warehouse location is on the McPherson
Complex, with offices also at the Jail Complex and Judicial Center.
When is Facilities Management Available?
Facilities Management Technicians maintain a 24 hour on-call response
program, both at the Marion County Jail complex and all other locations,
to ensure that emergencies are cared for in an adequate response time.
Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., and our custodial staff works from 4:00 p.m. to midnight,
cleaning, vacuuming and polishing to make the work environment clean and
presentable for employees and the public. In addition, three custodians
work during the day servicing the Judicial Center complex, the Health
Department and the McPherson complex.
