AED, CPR and First Aid

Training and Registration at MCFR

Register Your AED

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are used to treat victims of sudden cardiac arrest, meaning the heart is no longer beating normally. These devices are capable of checking a victim's heart rhythm and providing a shock to correct that rhythm. AEDs are valuable life-saving tools. They are rapidly becoming available to both private citizens and businesses. In Florida, owners of AEDs are required to register these devices with the local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. Citizens may do that by calling Marion County Fire Rescue at (352) 291-8000 or filling out this form.
