North Central Florida's Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Task
Force 8 Team is composed of dual-certified firefighters from
four North Central Florida fire departments, including Alachua
County Fire Rescue, Gainesville Fire Rescue, Marion County Fire
Rescue and Ocala Fire Rescue.

Gainesville Fire Rescue (GFR) has
been saving lives and property since 1882 by responding
from their seven citywide stations. GFR also believes in
educating the public with their aggressive fire
prevention programs that involve education, planning and
enforcement.

Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) is a
progressive, professional fire rescue department
dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of the
community, providing excellent service, education and
prevention in partnership with the citizens of Marion
County. MCFR has nearly 500 career firefighters and
about 65 volunteer firefighters serving from 22
full-time stations and seven volunteer stations.

Ocala Fire Rescue's firefighters,
emergency medical technicians and paramedics are
equipped and ready to respond to fires, injuries,
illnesses, hazardous materials incidents, arson
investigations and confined space rescue. Housed in six
fire stations throughout the city of Ocala, its
emergency personnel stand poised and ready to serve at a
moment's notice.
