Marion County Board of County Commissioners' Volunteer Program assists local students in fulfilling their educational requirement while obtaining a college degree, and brings together local citizens who want to volunteer their time and efforts to local Government. This program has helped many Marion County residents, ages 55 and better to utilize their skills, knowledge and abilities while assisting their local community with various activities and County services. We have a wide variety of volunteer assignments that you can be a part of:
Bright Future Scholarship Awards - High School Student Volunteers Our volunteer assignments can help high school students
earn volunteer hours towards their Bright Future
Scholarship award. For more information on how many
volunteer hours are required for the scholarship, contact the
School main office.
Volunteer assignments require a valid Florida drivers license, background check and drug test. Intern Program Marion County Board of County Commissioners Cooperative Education Program is an educational program allowing students attending higher education institutions to obtain real world work experience in their major field of study. This is a win-win paid program that allows local students to gain valuable work experience before entering the job market, and give the BCC experienced employees. This program is a great opportunity that has made a difference in the lives of tomorrows future professionals.
