Client Services
The
Client Services Team is comprised of four distinct functions
including Help Desk Operations, Field Support, Security/Messaging
and Purchasing/Inventory Control. The Client Services Team supports
approximately 1,700 users, 1,200 desktops/laptops, 100 PDAs, 400
cell phones, and over 200 applications.Field Support The Field Support area consists of Tier1 and Tier2 Support Personnel. Tier1 Personnel support County approved hardware/software, provide end-user training and mission critical support for public safety technologies. Tier2 Personnel responsibilities include all Tier1 roles in addition to computer imaging standards, application packaging, network printer management, technology testing and recommendations. Security and Messaging The Security and Messaging area is responsible for the installation and maintenance of (4) email and (3) firewall servers, over 1,800 mailboxes, CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act) compliant web filtering, anti-virus/anti-spam administration, Active Directory security, group policies, establishing computer standards and computer security policies. Purchasing and Inventory Control The Purchasing and Inventory Control area is responsible for the purchasing, inventory tracking, reporting, and proper disposition of all County computer hardware and software. |
