The Telecommunications team supports approximately 2400 PBX stations and trunks, 60 pieces of telephone switching, more than 70 wide area network connections, more than 110 wired data switches, and 70 wireless access points; this system contains more than 200 VLANs and subnets using quality of service to support voice, video, and data on one network. In support of the phone systems, this team provides call accounting reports, maintaining E911 compliance for ANI/ALI information, voice mail maintenance and support. The administration of the maintenance contracts for all telecommunications equipment, and the contracts for all telecommunications services are managed by this team.
The Telecommunications team also provides
support for structured cable systems support during moves,
additions, and changes for over 93 County buildings. In
