Silver Springs Shores
Library
Service & Hours
The Shores Public Library will be a
full-service library to include materials
for children, teens and adults in a variety
of formats (i.e. large print, regular print,
DVD, and CD), public computers, children's
programming, item request capability, and
reference services.
Public Service hours are pending and will be
posted as soon as the schedule is
determined.
Space
The building is an approximate 2,700 square
foot facility that is located at 493 Oak
Road in Silver Springs Shores.
Budget
The entire renovation budget is $84, 000,
which includes impact fees. The renovation
of 2,700 square feet for this amount of
money is made possible by utilizing the
expertise of the Marion County Facilities
Maintenance staff.
Completion
The targeted completion date for renovation
is tentatively scheduled for spring 2010.
Contents
The materials collection will be composed of
items gathered throughout the collections of
the other Libraries with the Marion County
Public Library System. Furniture and
shelving will be re-used from the Forest
Public Library.
Staffing
Staffing for the Shores Public Library will
include three new personnel: one Full Time
Branch Supervisor 1, one Part Time and one
Full Time Public Services Assistant. Staff
will be hired during the first quarter of
the new fiscal year.
