Facilities Management
Introduction

Marion County Facilities
Management is responsible for the maintenance of over
200 buildings and structures . These consist of
office buildings, fire stations, correctional facilities,
the clerk's office , the judicial center, the state
attorney's office, public defenders office, animal services
facility, county libraries, county park structures,
voting booths, and sheriff's sub stations. Currently
the Facilities Management Department maintains approximately
2.3 million square feet of building space in addition
to working with construction managers to ensure that
the new construction projects come in on time and within
budget.

heating, plumbing, and electrical items to ensure

Staff:
Facilities Management
staff consist of clerical and accounting staff, project
management staff, chiefs of trades, facility techs,
EMS control operators, and custodians. Resident
staff are located at the Judicial Center downtown and
at the Marion County Jail. Maintaining a 24 hour
on call response program ensures that emergencies are
cared for in an adequate response time.
