Facilities Management
Office Support & Administration

Courier

The job of the County Courier is integral to the workings of the County. Incoming mail from the United States Post Office is delivered to facilities management  department every morning. The Courier sorts the mail and delivers it to each of the offices within the county. In addition, the Courier picks up and delivers inter-departmental mail. Most County locations are serviced both in the morning and afternoon on a daily basis.

Custodial Staff

Facilities Management has three custodians who work during the day servicing the Judicial Center complex, the Health Department, and the McPherson complex. The remainder of the custodial staff begin work when the rest of the County employees are almost ready to go home (4:00 p.m.) and they work until midnight, cleaning, vacuuming, and polishing to make the work environment clean and presentable for employees and the public.

Facilities Management

Office Staff

Facilities Management is responsible for not only the daily maintenance and repair of County-owned buildings, but also for construction of new facilities and renovation of older ones.  The office staff is kept very busy working behind the scenes making sure that projects are accurately funded and that bills are paid on time. Staff is divided between daily operations, work orders and maintenance, and tracking multi-million dollar construction projects, (rapidly approaching the $100 million mark) such as the Jail Expansion, Fire Stations, Sheriff’s Offices, etc.
