SCENIC ROADS
On May 25th, 1993, Resolution 93-R-117 was
adopted by the Board of County Commissioners which established the Scenic
Roads Advisory Committee. Working together, the County Staff, the Scenic
Roads Advisory Committee (SRAC) and the Board of County Commissioners have
established and adopted 34 Scenic Roads throughout Marion County. These
are some of the most beautiful roads in Marion County, many with noted
historic or cultural significance.
We welcome you to tour our Scenic Roads by car and
provide a list of the roads for your convenience at the link to the
right/left. Most Scenic Roads are denoted by a green sign with a white
tree stating “Scenic Road”.
County staff continues to work with the Scenic Roads
Advisory Committee and the Board of County Commissioners to establish and
protect Marion County’s scenic roads and to enhance and promote their
environmental, cultural, and economic benefits for the people of Marion
County.
Any upcoming projects or public hearings will be
posted on this page. If you have any questions or comments, please
