The Parks and Recreation Volunteer Program provides
opportunities to help improve and maintain Marion County
Parks. As volunteer stewards, you will have a unique
opportunity to contribute your knowledge and skills
to enhance your community’s recreational experiences.
 |
You can help enhance and maintain our public
lands through clean-up efforts, planting trees,
administrative assistance, monitoring wildlife and
other projects.
|
 |
Your volunteer efforts increase public awareness
of the importance of protecting our natural resources;
generates pride in our park system; and demonstrates
a commitment to enhance the quality of our parks.
|
 |
Your volunteer hours may be eligible for high
school and college credits.
|
 |
Each volunteer will be issued an official Marion
County Parks and Recreation uniform shirt, cap and
identification badge to wear while on duty. |
If you are interested in becoming

and return it to the Parks & Recreation Department
at 111 S.E. 25th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34471. No experience is necessary…just
