Solid Waste Department
Recycling Division

The Marion County Solid Waste Department Recycling Division operates the eighteen recycling centers located around the County to provide solid waste disposal and recycling drop-off services to county residents. The Recycling Division provides a recycling education program designed to improve resident's knowledge on recycling issues and provides the means for County residents to be involved in recycling and proper waste disposal.

All eighteen recycling centers are located throughout the county. These centers are fenced, lighted, and staffed.

No commercial waste or commercial recyclables are accepted at any recycling centers. Businesses with recyclables can call the Solid Waste Department at (352) 671-8465 for assistance. The recycling centers are open to county residents that pay solid waste assessment.
