Marion County, Florida, is home to Silver Springs, one of the world's largest artesian springs, and dozens more, including Rainbow Springs, Salt Springs, Juniper Springs and Silver Glen. Located in north central Florida along Interstate-75 and spanning 1,652 square miles, Marion County boasts a mix of urban, suburban and rural areas and includes the vast Ocala National Forest, Florida's second largest national forest.

The Marion County Board of County Commissioners oversees Marion County's departments and services and works with Marion County's constitutional officers to serve  citizen needs.
