The Public Safety Communications Department is responsible for answering incoming emergency (911 & TTY calls) and non-emergency telephone calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Public Safety Communications Department also works with citizens to properly address new and existing property parcels so that, among other things, your location can be properly identified in case of an emergency.

Moreover, radio communications are a vital component of communication within and across other county departments. The Public Safety Communications Department assures the access and availability of radio communications within Marion County, to meet the needs of public safety and public service operations.
