Learn how the Florida Springs Protection Act, effective July 1, 2018,
impacts Marion County's permitting process here.

All building inspections will be scheduled in the order received. When an inspection date is full, new inspection requests will be scheduled for the next available inspection date.

We have a new online scheduling system! Inspections may now be scheduled online up to 30 days in advance.

Effective July 1, 2018:
- The automated inspection request system (AIRS) will be disconnected.
- Inspection scheduling deadlines change from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Driveway and utility inspection requests must be received by 3:30 p.m. prior to the requested date to be eligible for the next business day. Requests received after 3:30 p.m. will be scheduled at least two days from receipt.

Permit application payments are no longer accepted via mail, effective Aug. 1, 2017.
