Marion County UF/IFAS Extension Service is a cooperation between (and funded by both) the Marion County Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida. Extension agents who are experts in their fields compose the staff and work to “extend” the research and resources of the university to Marion County residents through educational programs and services in the following topics:

4-H Youth
Nearly 1,000 Marion County children and teens belong to 37 4-H clubs that vary in specialty from horses to archery. 

Livestock and equine, small farms, green farm practices and the Agricultural Hall of Fame.

Family and Consumer Sciences
Families, aging, financial management, food safety, nutrition and wellness.

Lawn and Garden
Home gardening, Master Gardeners, Florida Yards and Neighborhoods and commercial horticulture.

Southeastern Livestock Pavilion and Extension Auditorium Rental
