How Can I help the Library?

There are many ways that you can support your public library.

bullet

Volunteer at your library. Opportunities are available at all Marion County Public Library locations. Information on the volunteer program is available on this website.

bullet

Include a bequest in your will or a deferred gift in your estate planning. If you like, you can specify how your gift will be used that is especially meaningful to you.

bullet

Recognize the birth of a baby, celebrate an important event in your life, memorialize a loved one, or honor members of your service club by donating funds toward the purchase of library materials. Specific titles or subjects can be designated.

bullet

Enhance he building and grounds of the Marion County Public Library, Headquarters-Ocala. The Friends of the Ocala Public  Library have established a special account to receive donations. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support enhancements to your new headquarters library, send a check to Friends of the Ocala Public Library Building Enhancement Fund, 2720 East Silver Springs Boulevard, Ocala, FL 34470.

bullet

Contribute to enhancements at the two new library buildings currently under construction in Belleview and Dunnellon.  Donations for enhancements beyond the construction budget will enable us to enhance the building and grounds at these two locations. Call the Library Director, Julie Sieg, at 368-4500 for more information.
