Veterans Services
Assistance Programs and Forms
Marion County Veterans Services staff helps men and women obtain
their Veterans Administration benefits, including compensation,
pension, healthcare, education, death and burial benefits. They also
assist veterans seeking to replace lost medals awarded while serving
on active duty. Below are veterans-related benefit forms. Call for
an appointment and Veterans Services staff will be happy to assist
you in completing and submitting these applications.
Application for health benefits
The primary factor in determining a veteran's eligibility to receive
VA health care benefits is "veteran's status." Submit this
application to determine eligibility.
Certificate of eligibility (VA home
loan guaranties)
The VA loan guaranty program helps veterans and active duty
personnel finance the purchase of a home with competitive loan terms
and interest rates. The VA guaranty means the lender is protected
against loss if the veteran fails to repay. Submit this application
to determine eligibility.
Military records request
Veterans, next of kin, legal guardians, authorized government agents
or other authorized representatives (other authorized
representatives must provide a copy of an authorization letter) may
use this form to obtain DD 214 (or equivalent), official military
personnel files, medical records and medals.
Compensation and/or non-service
connected disability pension
Apply for disability compensation and non-service connected
disability pension with this application. Please ensure all criteria
are met for both service-connected disability and non-service
connected disability prior to completing forms.
Marion County Active Military Combat Duty Grant application
Active duty military members can use this form to apply for the
Marion County Active Military Combat Duty Grant. This grant can
provide a refund for property taxes once those taxes are paid for
that qualifying year. |
