NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MARION COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Marion County, Florida, Board of County Commissioners will hold the second of two public hearings on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, to consider approval and adoption of a Developer’s Agreement (Agreement) to be entered into pursuant to Sections 163.3220 through 163.3243, inclusive, Florida Statutes, between the McGinley Family Land Company, LLC (Developer), and Marion County, Florida (County), Case No. 19-DA03. The public hearing will start at 2:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible, and will be held at the County Commission Auditorium, 601 SE 25th Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34471. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing. 

The property, tentatively known as the McGinley Commerce Park (Project), consists of ±1,289 acres that is located on the south and north sides of SW. Hwy 484, between Marion Oaks Course and Marion Oaks Pass, extending ± 1.5 miles south of SW. Hwy 484 and ± ½  mile north of SW. Hwy 484. A detailed legal description of the property is on file with the Marion County Growth Services Department located at 2710 East Silver Springs Boulevard, Ocala, Florida 37740. All of the property is located within the jurisdictional boundaries of Marion County. The general location of the property is further shown on the following map:

The proposed Agreement will address the following items regarding the development of the Project: identify its general limits, identify each party’s obligations regarding right-of-way, roadway, stormwater, and utility design & construction, establish and/or reference the potential range of uses and development design standards, including the potential for a land use equivalency matrix to allow for land use exchanges, provide for transportation concurrency related to the project, provide for transportation impact fee credits and/or trip reservations including provisions regarding the Owner’s ability to transfer such credits and/or reservations, and identifying the parties responsible for providing other supporting public facilities and/or services to the Project.

A copy of the proposed Agreement may be obtained at the Marion County Growth Services Department at 2710 East Silver Springs Boulevard, Ocala, Florida 34470; telephone (352) 438-2600; between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The Commission Auditorium is a handicapped accessible facility.  If reasonable accommodations of a disability are needed for you to participate in this meeting, please contact the ADA Coordinator/HR Director at (352) 438-2345 at least 48 hours in advance of the hearing, so appropriate arrangements can be made. 

BE ADVISED if any person or persons wish to appeal a decision of the Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Florida, made at the above advertised meeting, a record of the proceedings will be needed by such person or persons and a verbatim record may also be necessary.
