The UF/IFAS Marion County Extension Service is a cooperation between (and funded by both) the Marion County Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida. Extension agents who are experts in their fields compose the staff and work to “extend” the research and resources of the university to Marion County residents through educational programs and services in the following topics:
Nearly 1,000 Marion County children and teens belong to over 40 4-H clubs that vary in specialty from horses to archery.

Home gardening, Master Gardeners, Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, tree care, and pesticide applicator training
