2018 Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) on the Marion County comprehensive plan

Mar. 29, 2019 - DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY'S OBJECTIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND COMMENTS REPORT (ORC), on the 2018 Evaluation and Appraisal (EAR) Report.

Jan. 25, 2019 - Marion County's EAR report now transmitted to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and other state-mandated agencies for review.
- After the DEO submits a letter to Marion County confirming receipt and completeness of the EAR transmittal, the review agencies have 60 days to complete their assessment.
- The DEO will submit an objections, recommendations and comments (ORC) report to Marion County officials.
- An adoption public hearing will be scheduled upon receipt by the Board of County Commissioners; within 180 days.

Dec. 18, 2018 - County commission transmittal public hearing at 2 p.m. in the commission auditorium, 601 SE 25th Ave., Ocala. This meeting was continued and will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2019, in the commission auditorium, 601 SE 25th Ave., Ocala.

Jan 3, 2019 - Public Meeting to gather input on EAR amendments to the comprehensive plan at 5:30 p.m., in Growth Services training room, 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.

Jan. 15, 2019 - County commission transmittal public hearing at 2 p.m. in the commission auditorium, 601 SE 25th Ave., Ocala. Continued from Dec. 18, 2018.

Jan. 30, 2019 -  Staff to transmit EAR to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and review agencies.

March 2, 2019 - Staff to expect comments from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and review agencies.

April 2, 2019 - Tentative date of commission adoption public hearing.
