About the Citizens Academy

What:

A comprehensive course that covers the challenges and issues facing Marion County, encourages participation in the government process and familiarizes participants with the operations and services of Marion County government (not including constitutional officers). Presenters serve for the Marion County Board of County Commissioners as experts in their fields.

When:

Citizens Academy starts in March each year.
The registration window opens each January and closes Feb.1.

Who:

Residents and business owners in Marion County may participate. All participants must be at least 18 years old and complete a registration form.

Cost:

This exciting program is offered at no cost.
