You can now complete a Special Event Permit application in three simple steps. The cost is $50.

The Special Event Permit may be downloaded online here.

1. Obtain a Special Event Permit application here or by contacting the Marion County Zoning Division at 352-438-2675. Or, fill out the application in person by visiting the Marion County Zoning Division (2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala).                       
2. Meet with a Zoning Division representative who will guide you through the process. When you meet, bring all of the required documents, e.g. site plans and written authorization from the property owner among other documents.
3. Receive confirmation from the Zoning Division.


The Marion County Board of County Commissioners adopted a new List of Fees and Services for Marion County Growth Services on Aug. 5, 2014 by approving Resolution 14-R-366. The fee changes became effective Oct. 1, 2014.
